Als ich einmal erkältet war, wollten meine Kinder von mir eine Geschichte hören. Da ich aber nicht lange lesen oder erzählen konnte, fing ich an mit „Es war einmal…“ und dann erzählten wir uns abwechselnd die Geschichte weiter. Dabei wurde viel gelacht, weil manche von uns wirklich ulkige Ideen hatten. Auf diese Weise musste ich immer nur kurz reden und konnte meine Stimme schonen.
Leider habe ich die Geschichte nicht aufgeschrieben, aber die folgende Geschichte haben einmal die Kinder beim Geburtstag einer Freundin entwickelt:
"Es war einmal ein großer Wettbewerb. Mit vielen Kindern und Tieren. Ein Elefant trötete. Ein Pferd preschte vorbei. Auf dem Pferd saß ein Affe und turnte herum. Eine Katze ritt auf dem Elefanten. Und dann fiel das Pferd einfach um. Und der Elefant trampelte drüber. Dann stolperte der Elefant über den Rüssel. Das Pferd ist wieder aufgestanden und weggerannt. Der Elefant hat sich ein paar mal rumgewälzt und rollte davon. Am Ende sind alle über die Ziellinie gekullert. Dann schliefen sie ein."
Auf diese Weise schlägt man mehrere Fliegen mit einer Klappe. Man muss sich nicht so sehr anstrengen, die Kinder sind beschäftigt, die Fantasie wird angeregt und man verbringt positive Zeit miteinander.
How to occupy children: Invent a story
Once upon a time I had a cold and my children begged for a story. But since I could not read or speak for long, I started a story with “Once upon a time…”. In this way, you kill several birds with one stone. You don’t have to exert yourself as much, the children are occupied, their imagination is stimulated, and you spend positive time together.
